美國(guó)能源部(DOE)近期宣布投資7個(gè)藻類(lèi)項(xiàng)目用于支持藻類(lèi)生物能源的發(fā)展,合計(jì)投入1500萬(wàn)美元。DOE的目標(biāo)是至2022年實(shí)現(xiàn)微藻生物燃料的成本將至3美元每加侖。
美國(guó)能源部長(zhǎng)表示“開(kāi)發(fā)新的能源是保障國(guó)家繁榮和安全的關(guān)鍵所在,獲支持的項(xiàng)目具有生產(chǎn)出可靠的,廣大居民可消費(fèi)的起的生物燃料的潛在技術(shù)”。
整個(gè)項(xiàng)目名為“藻類(lèi)系統(tǒng)中的有效碳利用”,目的是提高碳利用的效率及藻類(lèi)系統(tǒng)的生物質(zhì)產(chǎn)率,通過(guò)提高廢氣CO2的轉(zhuǎn)化效率(如從發(fā)電廠)或發(fā)展新的可消費(fèi)的起的碳捕獲技術(shù)(從空氣中直接捕獲碳給藻類(lèi)系統(tǒng))
7個(gè)項(xiàng)目分別是:

4、Arizona State University, 19.93萬(wàn)美元,項(xiàng)目名稱?“Membrane Carbonation for 100%Efficient Delivery of Industrial CO2?Gases”
5、Duke University, Durham, 151.2?萬(wàn)美元,項(xiàng)目名稱?“Carbon Utilization Efficiency inMarine Algae Biofuel Production Systems Through Loss Minimization and CarbonateChemistry Modification”
